Cattle
While most cattle are usually gentle, they are large animals and can move with great speed. Unless you are familiar with any cattle do not enter a fenced area with cattle in it. If you are inexperienced with cattle and find your self face to face with one back away slowly. Do not turn your back and run. Those who work with cattle, especially in overcrowded conditions can sometimes be injured by kicks or being crushed. Wandering cattle can also be responsible for causing road accidents.
Exotic Animals
Exotic animals are becoming more and more popular as pets. Unless you are the pets owner it is probably best to keep well away. No matter how tame they may seem exotic pets are unpredictable. Animals such as monkeys often carry the risk of serious diseases too.
Zoo Animals
Always obey any warning signs at zoos. Wild animals can and do attack. A chimpanzee for example can rip off a person’s face in a very short space of time. Always keep children well supervised at zoos and never try to pet a wild animal.
It is always a good idea for any animal owner to take out pet insurance that includes cover for personal injury. We all love our pets and want them to stay safe. Often that means making sure they are secure when strangers or visitors are around.
If you should suffer an injury from any animal seek medical attention and consult a personal injury lawyer. Pet owners too should contact a lawyer if someone injures your pet.
